Washington, D.C. (March 19, 2010) -- High-Definition TVs are now in more than 40 million U.S. homes and there are scores of high-def programming choices.

But which shows should you watch? And why?

Every day here at TVPredictions.com, I scan the HD programming aisles and serve up 10 programs so good -- so hot! -- that you can't miss them. Sports, movies, primetime comedies and drama -- they're all there and in beautiful high-def.

We call this list, "The Hottest Shows in HDTV!" And here they are for Friday, March 19, 2010: (All times Eastern -- and don't forget the link below to today's 'HD Hottie -- in fact, today there are 7 of them!

1. College Basketball
March Madness continues. Consult your local listings for times and channels.

The Dark Knight
Christian Bale shines as the Caped Crusader in the best film of 2008. Thanks to non-stop action scenes directed flawlessly by Chris Nolan and a tremendous supporting cast of Michael Caine, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Gary Oldman and the late Heath Ledger in his next-to-final role as The Joker, The Dark Knight is as good as it gets. If you haven't seen -- or even it you have -- see it -- tonight!

5. Forgetting Sarah Marshall
Jason Segel shines in this funny albeit frothy farce about a musician whose dream vacation in Hawaii goes wrong when he runs into his ex-girlfriend and her new lover. Kristen Bell plays the obligatory hot ex while Mila Kunis (That's 70s Show) plays the obligatory hot new love interest. Russell Brand and SNL's Bill Hader deliver the funny in support.

The Boss and his worker bees perform live from Barcelona, warbling such hits as Spirit in the Night (with Bruce on the piano.)

7. Real Time With Bill Maher
(new)
Conservative media watchdog alert! The pasty-faced pundit is back with new episodes. And tonight's show features Rep. Dennis "Is the Camera On Me? Come on, Please Put the Camera On Me." Kucinich (D-Ohio) and actor Emile Hirsch. You know you need a new agent when your profession has to come before your name so people will know what you are.

8. Spartacus: Blood and Sand (new)
Program descript: "
Spartacus must service the richest woman in Rome for whatever duties necessary." It's good to be the slave.

9. The Tonight Show With Jay Leno (new)
