December 4: Swanni's 10 Hottest Shows In HDTV!

By Swanni

Washington, D.C. (December 4, 2009) -- High-Definition TVs are now in more than 40 million U.S. homes and there are scores of high-def programming choices.

But which shows should you watch? And why?

Every day here at TVPredictions.com, I scan the HD programming aisles and serve up 10 programs so good -- so hot! -- that you can't miss them. Sports, movies, primetime comedies and drama -- they're all there and in beautiful high-def.

We call this list, "The Hottest Shows in HDTV!" And here they are for Friday, December 4, 2009: (All times Eastern -- and don't forget the link below to today's 'HD Hottie -- in fact, today there are 5 of them!

1. College Football
Central Michigan vs. Ohio in the Marathon MAC Championship.
ESPN 2, 7:30 p.m.

2. NBA Basketball
Chicago at Cleveland.

ESPN, 8 p.m.

3
. Ghost Whisperer (new)
Jennifer Love Hewitt, America's favorite big-breasted, ghost-gabbin' gal, tonight investigates a boy who died mysteriously in a skateboard accident  Someone died in a skateboarding accident -- and it's a mystery?! Not to me.
See our 'HD Hottie' profile of Jennifer Love Hewitt.
CBS, 8 p.m.

4. M1 Affliction Challenge
The title sounds like a documentary on trying to cure someone afflicted with the swine flu, but it's actually Team USA East vs. Team USA West in Mixed Martial Arts action. Well, on second thought, if you observe the long lines of people elbowing each other to get those swine flu shots, it could be a documentary on the swine flu -- and Mixed Martial Arts action.
HDNet, 8 p.m.

5.
Dollhouse (new)
Eliza Dushku stars as Echo, an 'off-the-grid' operative who takes on a different identity each week. Tonight, Echo tries to stop a corrupt senator (is there any other kind?) from revealing the secrets of the Dollhouse. Hell, he could just wait until Fox airs the remaining episodes; the show's going off the air then.

Also tonight, Summer Glau, fresh from her cancellation of Fox's Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, invades the Dollhouse as Bennett, a programmer with a "mysterious" past. (No, not that mysterious; she was in a primetime drama on Fox; odds were even money it would be cancelled in two seasons or less.)

See our 'HD Hottie' profile of Eliza Dushku.

Fox, 8 p.m.

6. Medium
Tonight's program descript: "
Allison's visions could help prevent a massive bioterror attack when samples of a deadly viral disease go missing."

Okay, will people please stop saying, "go missing" or "went missing" when they describe a kidnap victim or anything else that suddenly isn't there any more. You can't go missing! Missing isn't an activity. You disappear, you idiots, as in, "She disappeared last Sunday." NOT: "She went missing last Sunday." Arrgggghhhh!

CBS, 9 p.m.

7. The Jay Leno Show
Tonight, Jay chats up Kelsey Grammer and the ubiquitous Taylor Swift.
See our 'HD Hottie' profile of Taylor Swift.
NBC, 10 p.m.

8. NBA Basketball
Miami visits the Lakers.

10. Late Show With David Letterman
