That's according to an article by Video Business.
The publication reports that the CE retailer recently published an ad in the Orange County Register promoting Warner Blu-ray and HD DVD titles for $11.99. The studio is releasing new videos in both formats.
The Fry special prices were included for such titles as Superman Returns and V for Vendetta.
Video Business notes that the titles cost around $20-24 at online retailers such as Amazon.com.

V for Vendetta looks good at $12.
An employee at Fry's store in Anaheim, California told the publication that the prices were among the lowest in the nation. A Fry corporate spokesman was unavailable for comment, the publication reported, adding that it's unclear if the special deal was available in every Fry's store.
But one rival retail official called the prices "insane."
“We try to keep our margins really slim, so people think we are a destination store for HD DVD and Blu-ray. We are closer to $20 retail price, and that is really competitive. But for Fry’s to sell at two-thirds of its cost, that really is a loss leader," he told Video Business.
