DIRECTV's new HD DVR, dubbed the Genie, has captured the
attention of tech enthusiasts for its capacity to record up to
five shows at the same time. However, the satcaster's TV spots
for this piece of hardware has arguably generated even more
interest because of the woman who plays the Genie in the
commercial.
TVPredictions.com has received numerous emails from readers
asking everything from who is the DIRECTV Genie woman to what
has she been in previously to will she be the DIRECTV
spokesmodel in future TV spots.
The remarkable aspect of this overreaction is that the actress
appears in the 30-second commercials for all of about five
seconds. Watch these commercials below and then I will reveal
(finally) who is the DIRECTV Genie Girl and how she is linked to

Now, for some answers: The DIRECTV Genie is Hannah Davis, a 22-year-old
model who grew up in the U.S. Virgin Islands. She is 5'10", has
green eyes, blonde hair and has modeled for Victoria's Secret as
well as American Eagle. To date, she has not appeared in any
movies or TV shows, but that is likely to change soon. She did
play volleyball for the Virgin Islands national team and that
brings us to her link to the sports world at large.
Hannah reportedly is the new girlfriend of New York Yankee
shortstop Derek Jeter, who has dated over the years the likes of
Scarlett Johansson, Mariah Carey, Jessica Biel and Minka Kelly.
Based on that lineup, one might surmise that Hannah's future with Mr. Jeter may be
short-lived (although the autographed balls do make for a nice
parting gift.) But if the reaction to her DIRECTV commercial
continues to overheat, she just might have a future helping the satcaster sell more HD DVRs.
