Time Warner, Comcast Add FEARnet HD
By Swanni
Washington, D.C. (May 3, 2011) --
Time Warner Cable will launch the FEARnet HD channel on May 11,
the companies announced today.
The cable operator will also add the SD edition of the horror
channel; Time Warner dropped the SD version two years ago due to
a programming dispute between the companies.
In addition, FEARnet said Comcast has already added the high-def
edition of the channel in the Philadelphia area. Verizon is also
carrying it on channel 197.
FEARnet, which is also available in VOD on select cable systems,
airs more than 300 movies a year as well as original content.
The HD edition of FEARnet will be available in more than 10
million U.S. homes within the next year, FEARnet said in a
release.
