Presidential Race: Who Looks Best
In HDTV?
By Swanni
Washington, D.C. (December 14,
2011) -- You need a lot of strong
qualities to get elected President of the United States. And
there's little doubt that one of them is to look good on
television.
Don't believe it? Just ask Richard Nixon who many historians say
lost the 1960 race to John Kennedy because he didn't look fresh on
camera during their debates. Or you could ask GOP presidential
candidates John McCain and Bob Dole, both of whom lost to men
who looked better on the tube. (Presidents Obama and Clinton
respectively.)
And now with debates and public appearances usually broadcast in
High-Definition, the stakes are even higher. To be a serious
candidate, you better be able to withstand the candid cameras of
high-def. Facial imperfections, aging signs and/or a lack of
sleep will be all-too-obvious to the viewer in HDTV.
You can run in the high-def world, but you can't hide.
So, we thought we would have some fun today and ask you to pick
the current presidential candidate who you think looks best in
High-Definition TV. Your choices are below -- so cast your
ballot now!
