Today's 'HD Hottie' is Jessica Alba, who stars today in The Tonight Show With Jay Leno at 11:35 p.m. ET on NBC.
The 28-year-old actress, who was born in Pomona, California, just outside Los Angeles, got into acting as a child after overcoming several physical maladies including repeated pneumonia. She was first noticed by viewers in James Cameron's TV series, Dark Angel, which aired from 200-2002.

But Alba quickly captured the hearts of moviegoers as well in such films as Sin City, Fantastic Four, Honey, Into the Blue and Good Luck Chuck.
She is scheduled to appear in the Sin City sequel, to be released in 2010. Her next film is scheduled to be An Invisible Sign Of My Own, due out this year.
