Jessica Alba Is Today's 'HD Hottie'

Washington, D.C. (October 11, 2008) -- Following our extremely popular contest, 'HD Hottie Hysteria,' we've started a new feature in which we will highlight a top female star every day. The gorgeous female will come from a program that can be seen in gorgeous high-def that very day.

Today's 'HD Hottie' is Jessica Alba, who stars today in The Fantastic Four: The Rise of the Silver Surfer at 2 p.m. ET on HBO.

The 27-year-old actress, who was born in Pomona, California, just outside Los Angeles, got into acting as a child after overcoming several physical maladies including repeated pneumonia. She was first noticed by viewers in James Cameron's TV series, Dark Angel, which aired from 200-2002.

But Alba quickly captured the hearts of moviegoers as well in such films as Sin City, Fantastic Four, Honey, Into the Blue and Good Luck Chuck.

She is scheduled to appear in the Sin City sequel, to be released in 2010.
