April 6: Amanda Bynes, Today's HD Hottie

Washington, D.C. (April 6, 2009) -- Following our extremely popular contest, 'HD Hottie Hysteria,' we've started a new feature in which we will highlight a top female star every day. The gorgeous female will come from a program that can be seen in gorgeous high-def that very day.

Today's 'HD Hottie' is Amanda Bynes, who stars tonight in high-def in Hairspray at 6 p.m. on HBO.

The 23-year-old actress, who was born in Thousand Oaks, California, started as a child actress, but got her first break when she was cast as Jenny Garth's younger sister in What I Like About You, the WB sitcom.

Amanda has also appeared in such films as What a Girl Wants, Hairspray, She's the Man, Sydney White and Lovewrecked. And she just signed to star in a new ABC sitcom called Canned, which will debut this fall.
