Carla Gugino: Today's HD Hottie

Washington, D.C. (June 2, 2008) -- Following our extremely popular contest, 'HD Hottie Hysteria,' we've started a new feature in which we will highlight a top female star every day. The gorgeous female will come from a program that can be seen in gorgeous high-def that very day.

Today's 'HD Hottie' is Carla Gugino, who stars tonight in high-def in Night at the Museum at 8 p.m. ET on HBO.

The 36-year-old actress, who was born in Sarasota, Florida, started as a model as a teenager, but soon shifted to acting. She landed several small parts in movies before getting a starring role in Snake Eyes with Nicolas Cage.

Carla then starred in a few TV programs such as Spin City (as Michael J. Fox's girlfriend) and Karen Sisco, which was based on Jennifer Lopez's film, Out of Sight. But her career started to soar when she was cast in Spy Kids in 2001 and Sin City in 2005. Her frontal nude scenes in Sin City still have men's tongues wagging. Her next movie will be Watchman, due out this year.
