March 18: Anne Hathaway, The HD Hottie

Washington, D.C. (March 18, 2010) -- Following our extremely popular contest, 'HD Hottie Hysteria,' we've started a new feature in which we will highlight a top female star every day. The gorgeous female will come from a program that can be seen in gorgeous high-def that very day.

Today's 'HD Hottie' is Anne Hathaway, who stars tonight in high-def in Get Smart on HBO at 7 p.m. ET.

The 27-year-old actress, who was born in Brooklyn, got her first big break in the movie The Other Side of Heaven. But most moviegoers first saw her in The Princess Diaries in 2001.

Anne took a career gamble in 2005 when she appeared nude in the controversial film, Brokeback Mountain. But the winsome actress generated even more interest in 2008 when she played Agent 99 in Get Smart with Steve Carell.

She was nominated for an Oscar in the 2008 Rachel Getting Married. Anne also starred recently in Bride Wars with Kate Hudson. She has also signed to play the title role in a stage and screen presentation of the life of Judy Garland. And she is winning critical praise for her work in Alice in Wonderland, now in theaters.
