Friday's HD Hottie: Jennifer Love Hewitt

Washington, D.C. (August 15, 2008) -- Following our extremely popular contest, 'HD Hottie Hysteria,' we've started a new feature in which we will highlight a top female star every day. The gorgeous female will come from a program that can be seen in gorgeous high-def that very day.

Today's 'HD Hottie' is Jennifer Love Hewitt, who stars as Melinda Gordon in Ghost Whisperer, which airs tonight in high-def on CBS at 8 p.m. ET.

The 29-year-old actress, who was born in Waco, Texas, got into acting as a child. Her first big break was landing a role in Fox's Party of Five.

But Hewitt also won fame and fortune in such movies as I Know What You Did Last Summer, Heartbreaks and Garfield before landing her role in TV's Ghost Whisperer.

Hewitt also has captured magazine headlines recently by losing 18 pounds in less than one month.
