December 7: Alison Lohman, The HD Hottie

Washington, D.C. (December 7, 2009) -- Following our extremely popular contest, 'HD Hottie Hysteria,' we've started a new feature in which we will highlight a top female star every day. The gorgeous female will come from a program that can be seen in gorgeous high-def that very day.

Today's 'HD Hottie' is Alison Lohman, who stars tonight in high-def in Drag Me to Hell at various times on cable and satellite HD VOD.

The 30-year-old actress, who was born in Palm Springs, California, started as a child actress, mostly in stage productions in her native Southern California. She got her first big break when cast as Michelle Pfeiffer's rebellious daughter in White Oleander. The role won her critical acclaim and she soon nabbed several meaty roles in such films as Matchstick Men, Big Fish, The Big White and Where the Truth Lies.

Alison continued to get rave notices in Drag Me to Hell, a horror film directed by Sam Raimi, which is now playing on satellite and cable HD VOD. Her last movie was Gamer, which co-stars Gerard Butler.
