October 4: Eva Longoria, The HD Hottie

Washington, D.C. (October 4, 2009) -- Following our extremely popular contest, 'HD Hottie Hysteria,' we've started a new feature in which we will highlight a top female star every day. The gorgeous female will come from a program that can be seen in gorgeous high-def that very day.

Today's 'HD Hottie' is Eva Longoria, who co-stars tonight in high-def in Desperate Housewives at 9 p.m.. ET on ABC.

The 34-year-old actress, who was born in Corpus Christi, Texas, got her first big break with a guest starring role in the primetime soap opera Beverly Hills 90210. From there, she was cast briefly in General Hospital but then landed a pivotal role in the CBS soap, The Young & the Restless, from 2001 to 2003.

But in 2004, she became an overnight star when she was cast as the devilish damsel, Gabrielle Solis, in Desperate Housewives. The Sunday night program led to numerous product endorsements, People's Choice Awards, magazine covers and a career in film, including The Sentinel and Over Her Dead Body.

Married to San Antonio Spurs' basketball guard Tony Parker, Longoria this fall returned to Desperate Housewives for another season.
