Kate Mara: Today's HD Hottie

Washington, D.C. (August 26, 2008) -- Following our extremely popular contest, 'HD Hottie Hysteria,' we've started a new feature in which we will highlight a top female star every day. The gorgeous female will come from a program that can be seen in gorgeous high-def that very day.

Today's 'HD Hottie' is actress Kate Mara who stars in high-def today in Shooter at 6:15 p.m. ET. on Showtime 2.

The 25-year-old actress, who was born in Bedford, New York, started as a stage actress, but quickly captured attention in such films as Brokeback Mountain, Random Hearts, Shooter and We Are Marshall.

Kate also has appeared in numerous TV shows including Law & Order and 24. But she may be best known for as the great granddaughter of New York Giants founder Tim Mara. She's still a rabid Giant fan and often travels from her new home in Los Angeles to New York to see the Giants play.
