Washington, D.C. (May 16, 2008) -- Following our extremely popular contest, 'HD Hottie Hysteria,' we've started a new feature in which we will highlight a top female star every day. The gorgeous female will come from a program that can be seen in gorgeous high-def that very day.

Today's 'HD Hottie' is Eva Mendes, who co-stars tonight in high-def with Nicolas Cage in Ghost Rider on Starz at 9 p.m. ET.

The 34-year-old actress, who was born in Miami, started acting in music videos before getting her first big break in 2001 in Training Day with Denzel Washington.

Mendes has since starred in such movies as Once Upon a Time, Hitch, We Own the Night and Out of Time (again with Denzel Washington.)
