Today's 'HD Hottie' is Eva Mendes, who stars tonight in high-def on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno on NBC at 11:35 p.m. ET.
The 36-year-old actress, who was born in Miami, started acting in music videos before getting her first big break in 2001 in Training Day with Denzel Washington.
Mendes has since starred in such movies as Once Upon a Time, Hitch, We Own the Night and Out of Time (again with Denzel Washington.) She recently grabbed headlines for appearing without clothes in a print ad campaign for PETA.

Eva was in The Spirit, based on a Frank Miller graphic novel. She also starred in The Women, released in December 2008, and she recently starred in a steamy advertising campaign for Calvin Klein.
Eva also starred in Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans with Nicholas Gage; the film is now available on Blu-ray. Her next film will be The Other Guys, which also stars Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell; it will open in theaters on August 6.
