October 21: Michelle Trachtenberg, The HD Hottie

Washington, D.C. (October 21, 2009) -- Following our extremely popular contest, 'HD Hottie Hysteria,' we've started a new feature in which we will highlight a top female star every day. The gorgeous female will come from a program that can be seen in gorgeous high-def that very day.

Today's 'HD Hottie' is Michelle Trachtenberg, who stars tonight in high-def on Mercy on NBC at 8 p.m. ET.

The 24-year-old actress, who was born in New York City, started as a child actress, appearing in a TV commercial at the age of three. But she started acting seriously in her teens, nabbing parts in such films as Inspector Gadget, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and EuroTrip.

In the last few years, Michelle has kept busy with guest starring roles in House, Law & Order and Six Feet Under. She also has played Georgina in the CW show, Gossip Girl.

Michelle will now take on a new challenge with a key role in NBC's hospital drama, Mercy.
