Minka Kelly: Today's HD Hottie

Washington, D.C. (May 10, 2008) -- Following our extremely popular contest, 'HD Hottie Hysteria,' we've started a new feature in which we will highlight a top female star every day. The gorgeous female will come from a program that can be seen in gorgeous high-def that very day.

Today's 'HD Hottie' is Minka Kelly, who stars as cheerleader turned Christian advocate Lyla Garrity in Friday Night Lights, which airs today in high-def on Universal HD at 1 p.m. ET.

The 27-year-old actress, who was born in Los Angeles, is the daughter of Aerosmith guitarist Rick Dufay.

Her first TV role was in the sitcom Cracking Up, but she was cast in Friday Night Lights in 2005. She also had a small part in Peter Berg's Iraq war movie, The Kingdom. (Berg is the executive producer of Friday Night Lights.)
