December 14: Caterina Murino, The HD Hottie

Washington, D.C. (December 14, 2009) -- Following our extremely popular contest, 'HD Hottie Hysteria,' we've started a new feature in which we will highlight a top female star every day. The gorgeous female will come from a program that can be seen in gorgeous high-def that very day.

Today's 'HD Hottie' is Caterina Murino, who plays the seductive (but ill-fated) wife of a Bond villain in Casino Royale, which airs tonight in high-def on the Syfy channel at 8 p.m. ET.

The 32-year-old actress, who was born in Italy, appeared in several Italian films before making her English-speaking debut as a 'Bond Girl' in Casino Royale.

Caterina, whose character is named Solange in Casino Royale, also was a fifth place finisher in the Miss Italy contest in the 1990s. She recently starred in the film, The Garden of Eden, which is expected to be released in theaters shortly.
