July 27: Mary Louise Parker, The HD Hottie

Washington, D.C. (July 27, 2009) -- Following our extremely popular contest, 'HD Hottie Hysteria,' we've started a new feature in which we will highlight a top female star every day. The gorgeous female will come from a program that can be seen in gorgeous high-def that very day.

Today's 'HD Hottie' is Mary Louise Parker, who stars tonight in Weeds at 10 p.m. ET on Showtime.

The 44-year-old actress, who was born in Fort Jackson, South Carolina, got her first big break in the Broadway production of Prelude to a Kiss. That performance quickly netted her another star turn in the play Longtime Companion. Soon, Hollywood came calling with parts in Grand Canyon, The Client, Bullets Over Broadway and Boys on the Side.

Mary also captured fans with a recurring role in NBC's political drama, The West Wing, and she was cast as a pot dealer in Showtime's Weeds in 2005. She has been in the show for all five seasons and is expected to return for the final season in 2010.
