February 6: Danica Patrick, The HD Hottie

Washington, D.C. (February 6, 2010) -- Following our extremely popular contest, 'HD Hottie Hysteria,' we've started a new feature in which we will highlight a top female star every day. The gorgeous female will come from a program that can be seen in gorgeous high-def that very day.

Today's 'HD Hottie' is Danica Patrick, who competes today in the NASCAR ARCA race at 11 p.m. ET on the Speed Channel.

The 28-year-old driver, who was born in Roscoe, Illinois, started go-karting at the age of 10 and then moved to England at 16 to work on her professional racing career. In 2002, she joined the Indy circuit.

Danica has only one Indy series victory, but finished third last year in Indy 500, her best finish ever in that prestigious race. But it's her position as a female driver that has both generated controversy and captured fans across the globe.

This season, Danica will compete in 12 races in the stockcar NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.
