Natalie Portman: Today's HD Hottie

Washington, D.C. (November 7, 2008) -- Following our extremely popular contest, 'HD Hottie Hysteria,' we've started a new feature in which we will highlight a top female star every day. The gorgeous female will come from a program that can be seen in gorgeous high-def that very day.

Today's 'HD Hottie' is Natalie Portman, who stars tonight in high-def on Late Night With David Letterman at 11:35 p.m. on CBS.

The 27-year-old actress, who was born in Israel, started as a child model and actor, appearing in such films as The Professional. Her adult career took off when she was cast as Padme in George Lucas' new Star Wars prequels, starting with Episode II in 2000.

Natalie expanded her wings with critically-praised turns in Mike Nichols' Closer, Garden State and V for Vendetta. Her next film is Brothers, co-starring Tobey Maguire, due out later this year.
