August 16: Melissa Rycroft, The HD Hottie

Washington, D.C. (August 16, 2010) -- Following our extremely popular contest, 'HD Hottie Hysteria,' we've started a new feature in which we will highlight a top female star every day. The gorgeous female will come from a program that can be seen in gorgeous high-def that very day.

Today's 'HD Hottie' is Melissa Rycroft, who stars tonight in high-def in Bachelor Pad at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.

The 27-year-old model, who was born in Dallas, Texas, got her first big break as a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader. She danced on the squad for two seasons, 2005 and 2006.

In 2007, Melissa generated more fame by appearing as a contestant on ABC's The Bachelor. She won the competition and bachelor Jason Mesnick actually proposed to her. However, the marriage never came off when Mesnick professed his love for another contestant.

Melissa then competed in ABC's Dancing With the Stars, but is now the co-host of ABC's new reality series, The Bachelor Pad.
