October 29: Scarlett Johansson, The HD Hottie

Washington, D.C. (October 29, 2009) -- Following our extremely popular contest, 'HD Hottie Hysteria,' we've started a new feature in which we will highlight a top female star every day. The gorgeous female will come from a program that can be seen in gorgeous high-def that very day.

Today's 'HD Hottie' is Scarlett Johansson, who stars tonight in high-def in The Other Boleyn Girl at 10 p.m. on Starz Edge.

The 24-year-old actress, who was born in New York, began as a child actress, appearing in such movies as Ghost World and The Horse Whisperer.

But her first starring role was in Sofia Coppola's 2003 film, Lost In Translation, opposite Bill Murray. The movie made her Hollywood's new 'It Girl' and she was soon cast in a slew of films including The Island, The Black Dahlia and Woody Allen's Match Point.

She teamed again with Woody in the Oscar-nominated Vicky Christina Barcelona, and she released her first solo album, Anywhere I Lay My Head, in 2008. This year, she teamed with Peter Yorn for her second album, called Break Up.

Scarlett also recently starred in He's Just Not That Into You, which opened this year and is available in some markets on HD VOD. And she will be in the new Iron Man 2 movie, which opens next year, and she will appear in the Broadway play, A View From the Bridge.
