Jessica Simpson: Monday's HD Hottie

Washington, D.C. (October 20, 2008) -- Following our extremely popular contest, 'HD Hottie Hysteria,' we've started a new feature in which we will highlight a top female star every day. The gorgeous female will come from a program that can be seen in gorgeous high-def that very day.

Today's 'HD Hottie' is Jessica Simpson, who stars tonight in high-def in Late Night With David Letterman at 11:35 p.m. on CBS.

The 28-year-old singer/actress, who was born in Abilene, Texas, started as a teenage gospel singer, but her country-tinged pop music quickly rose her to stardom. After several #1 albums, Jessica teamed with then husband Nick Lachey in 2003 to do the MTV reality show, Newlyweds, Nick and Jessica.

The reality show, which featured Jessica in the dumb blonde role, led her to Hollywood where she has starred in such films as The Dukes of Hazzard and Employee of the Month. Her next film project is Major Movie Star, due out this year.
