May 17: Joss Stone, The HD Hottie

Washington, D.C. (May 17, 2009) -- Following our extremely popular contest, 'HD Hottie Hysteria,' we've started a new feature in which we will highlight a top female star every day. The gorgeous female will come from a program that can be seen in gorgeous high-def that very day.

Today's 'HD Hottie' is Joss Stone, who stars tonight in high-def in The Tudors on Showtime at 9 p.m. ET.

The 22-year-old singer/actress, who was born in England, got her first big break on a BBC talent contest which she won at the age of 14. Her first big album was The Soul Sessions in 2003; the album went triple platinum and critics praised it as a jazz breakthrough.

Joss has since recorded three more albums and she has dipped her toe into the acting business with roles in Eragon and the indie film Snappers in which she played a lesbian. She is now playing Anne of Cleves in the Showtime hit The Tudors.
