Today's 'HD Hottie' is Marisa Tomei, who stars tonight in high-def on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno at 11:35 p.m. ET on NBC.
The 44-year-old actress, who was born in Brooklyn, New York, got her first big break with a role in the daytime CBS soap As the World Turns. But she really got going when she was cast as Joe Pesci's girlfriend in the 1992 comedy My Cousin Vinny. Marisa won an Oscar for Best Supporting Performance for her role.
In recent years, she has reinvented herself as a character actress, playing in such indie films as Before the Devil Knows You're Dead and The Wrestler, in which she played a stripper opposite Mickey Rourke's washed-up pro wrestler. Marisa was nominated for another Best Supporting Oscar for her role in The Wrestler, but lost Sunday night to Penelope Cruz.
