September 2: Anna Torv, The HD Hottie

Washington, D.C. (September 2: 2010) -- Following our extremely popular contest, 'HD Hottie Hysteria,' we've started a new feature in which we will highlight a top female star every day. The gorgeous female will come from a program that can be seen in gorgeous high-def that very day.

Today's 'HD Hottie' is Anna Torv, who stars tonight in high-def in Fringe at 9 p.m. ET on Fox.

The 30-year-old actress, who was born in Australia, has a paternal aunt who was married for 31 years to Fox Broadcasting chief Rupert Murdoch. Anna has been featured in BBC TV shows since 2002, but she hit the big time when she was cast as FBI agent Olivia Dunham in the spooky Fox drama, Fringe.

Anna, who recently had a small role in HBO's The Pacific, was married to Fringe co-star Mark Valley. But the couple recently announced they are divorcing.

Anna will return to Fringe next month for season 3, which debuts on September 23.
