Friday's HD Hottie: Mary Elizabeth Winstead

Washington, D.C. (September 26, 2008) -- Following our extremely popular contest, 'HD Hottie Hysteria,' we've started a new feature in which we will highlight a top female star every day. The gorgeous female will come from a program that can be seen in gorgeous high-def that very day.

Today's 'HD Hottie' is Mary Elizabeth Winstead, who stars tonight in high-def in Live Free or Die Hard at 7:45 p.m. ET on HBO.

The 23-year-old actress, who was born in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, got her first big break in the daytime soap opera Passions. She later landed roles in fright films The Ring Two, Final Destination 3 and Grindhouse, prompting some critics to call her the modern day 'Scream Queen.'

But Mary also distinguished herself with roles in Live Free or Die Hard and as a waitress in Emilio Estevez's drama, Bobby.

She reportedly will play Wonder Woman in the new film, Justice League, based on the comic book featuring super heroes such as Batman and Superman.
