July 17: Alicia Witt, The HD Hottie

Washington, D.C. (July 17, 2009) -- Following our extremely popular contest, 'HD Hottie Hysteria,' we've started a new feature in which we will highlight a top female star every day. The gorgeous female will come from a program that can be seen in gorgeous high-def that very day.

Today's 'HD Hottie' is Alicia Witt, who stars tonight in high-def in 88 Minutes at 5:30 ET on Starz Edge.

The 33-year-old actress, who was born in Worcester, Massachusetts, was discovered by director David Lynch who cast her in his film Dune. She later appeared in Lynch's TV series Twin Peaks. But she captured fame and fortune in a series of movies and TV starring roles such as Law & Order, Ally McBeal, The Sopranos and Urban Legend.

Alicia most recently starred in 88 Minutes with Al Pacino, but she has also appeared on stage in various productions. She also just released a new album.
