September 13: Evan Rachel Wood, The HD Hottie

Today's 'HD Hottie' is Evan Rachel Wood, who stars tonight in high-def in the season two finale of True Blood at 9 p.m. ET on HBO.

The 22-year-old actress, who was born in Raleigh, North Carolina, got her first big break at 15 when she starred in the critically-acclaimed Thirteen. She followed up that role with parts in Pretty Persuasion, The Upside of Anger and King of California.

She generated strong critical praise for her roles in Across the Universe and The Wrestler. Her starring performance in Woody Allen's Whatever Works, which also stars Larry David of HBO's Curb Your Enthusiasm, was well received this summer. And she has returned to the spotlight with her new role as a vampire Queen in HBO's True Blood.
