Baltimore CBS Affiliate Switches to HD News
TVPredictions.com

Washington, D.C. (October 27, 2009) -- WJZ-TV, the CBS affiliate in Baltimore, is now broadcasting local news programs in High-Definition.

The station's switch to HD news was first reported by the Examiner newspapers.

WJZ becomes the third Baltimore network affiliate to broadcast their local news programs in high-def.

WBFF-TV, the Fox affiliate in Baltimore, was the first, switching to HD news in 2008 while WBAL, the NBC affiliate, was second in January 2009.

There are now roughly 200 local stations nationwide broadcasting the news in high-def.
