That's according to an article by the Columbus Dispatch.
Known as Channel 6 in Columbus, WSYX made the switch to high-def news on Saturday with the 6 p.m. newscast.
The Dispatch reports that the ABC station and WTTE-TV, the Fox affiliate in Columbus, have also teamed to launch 'First Warning' weathercasts in high-def.
WSYX is the third station in Columbus to broadcast local news in high-def. WTTE also does and WBNS-10TV, the CBS affiliate in Columbus, was the first to do so there, switching in April 2007.
There are now roughly 90 local stations nationwide that offer high-def newscasts.
