Hewlett-Packard Vice President Philip McKinney says
watching High-Definition TV is a real snoozefest.
Although nearly 30 million Americans have purchased
high-def sets, McKinney tells Business Week that
"sitting in front of a TV is boring." The executive says
video gaming is "the new High-Definition experience."
McKinney made his comments during a telco conference in
Hong Kong where he was promoting HP's recently purchased
Voodoo PC, a Canadian-based gaming hardware maker.

Watching HDTV: Does this look boring to you?
The HP executive displayed a futuristic video which
showed several kids participating in a virtual scavenger
hunt while playing on mobile gaming devices. However,
instead of using the devices at home or sitting outside,
the kids are patrolling the actual streets where the
game takes place.
