No word on which stations, if any, will broadcast the program in high-def at launch.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, two episodes of the 30-minute show will air in a hour-long block in daytime or late afternoon.
Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune are produced in high-def, but many stations can not offer it in the format because they don't have the equipment to store large blocks of HD programming. The game shows are recorded by the local stations and broadcast at a later time.
Crosswords, says The Hollywood Reporter, will feature contestants who solve crossword puzzles by answering questions with specific words.
