MLB Network Launches Strike Zone Channel

Washington, D.C. (April 10, 2012) -- DIRECTV, Dish Network, Bright House Network and Time Warner Cable have agreed to carry the MLB Network Strike Zone channel, the MLB Network's answer to the NFL's Red Zone.

The part-time channel, which will offer live "look-ins" and highlights, will launch tonight at 7 p.m. ET and will air every Tuesday and Friday night during the regular season. The look-in and highlights will be available in High-Definition.

"MLB Network Strike Zone will provide baseball fans with the award-winning coverage of all 30 clubs they've come to rely on from MLB Network," said Tony Petitti, MLB Network CEO. "We're excited to continue to expand the reach and scope of MLB Network's programming."

Time Warner Cable said it will offer the MLB Network Strike Zone channel in the following markets:
Albany, Austin, Buffalo, Charlotte, Cleveland, Columbia, Columbus, Corpus Christi, Dallas, El Paso, Kansas City, Los Angeles, Milwaukee/Green Bay, New York City, Palm Springs, Portland, Raleigh, Rochester, San Antonio, San Diego, Syracuse and Waco.

Bright House will also provide the channel in Orlando and Tampa in Florida and Bakersfield, California, Indianapolis and Birmingham, Alabama.

Dish Network will include the part-time channel in its 'Multi-Sport' package while DIRECTV will offer it as part of its 'Sports Pack' and its MLB Extra Innings plan. ____________________________________________________________________________
