March 15: Swanni's 10 Hottest Shows In HDTV!

By Swanni

Washington, D.C. (March 15, 2010) -- High-Definition TVs are now in more than 40 million U.S. homes and there are scores of high-def programming choices.

But which shows should you watch? And why?

Every day here at TVPredictions.com, I scan the HD programming aisles and serve up 10 programs so good -- so hot! -- that you can't miss them. Sports, movies, primetime comedies and drama -- they're all there and in beautiful high-def.

We call this list, "The Hottest Shows in HDTV!" And here they are for Monday, March 15, 2010: (All times Eastern -- and don't forget the link below to today's 'HD Hottie -- in fact, today there are 10 of them!

1. NBA Basketball Doubleheader
Pistons at Celtics, followed by Lakers at Warriors.

ESPN, 8 p.m.

2
. Chuck (new)
Program descript: "
Chuck and Sarah must break Casey out of jail and clear his name after he inadvertently commits treason." How do you inadvertently commit treason? It's not like accidentally stepping on someone's toe or bumping into a door or something like that. Committing treason usually requires at least some sense of purpose. Oh, well, I guess we'll have to tune in to get the scoop.

NBC, 8 p.m.

3. House (new)
Program descript: "
A high school senior repeatedly hallucinates after blacking out during a class trip; Wilson tries to furnish his condo." Glad to see Wilson has his priorities in order!

Fox, 8 p.m.

4.
Hancock
Will Smith stars as a cranky super hero who seems more interested in getting drunk than saving lives until PR whiz Jason Bateman whips him into shape. The movie offers some fun action and insightful satire until a late plot twist involving Charlize Theron either ruins it for you or makes it better. You be the judge.

Starz Edge, 8:25 p.m.

5. 24 (new)
Rumors are flying that this season will be the last round-up for Jack Bauer and his terrorist-torturing ways. But tonight, it's no-holds-barred Jack as he tackles a hostage situation at CTU (some security agency; they're held hostage every season!) and looks for those pesky nuclear rods. Meanwhile, that high-haired Middle Eastern leader is trying to find his daughter who inadvertently (There's that word again) helped a terrorist.

Fox, 9 p.m.

CW, 9 p.m.

7. Taken
Liam Neeson stars as an ex-government operative who's forced back into the field when his daughter is kidnapped in Paris. Maggie Grace plays the obligatory hot daughter while Famke Janssen is almost unrecognizable as Liam's bitchy ex-wife. Despite Neeson's advancing years (he's 57 now), his early days as an amateur boxer serves him well here and the action is fast paced. Good movie.

Cinemax, 10 p.m.

8. Secret Diary of a Call Girl (new)
The Brits' favorite hooker Belle (Billie Piper) tonight hires a male escort. Isn't that like the donut manager eating the donuts? Cuts into the profits, Belle baby.
See our 'HD Hottie' profile of Billie Piper.
Showtime, 10 p.m.

9. The Tonight Show With Jay Leno (new)
No need to bring the ham tonight. Jay's guest include Fox football analyst Terry Bradshaw.

10. Late Night With David Letterman (new)
