November 2: Swanni's 10 Hottest Shows In HDTV!

Washington, D.C. (November 2, 2009) -- High-Definition TVs are now in more than 40 million U.S. homes and there are scores of high-def programming choices.

But which shows should you watch? And why?

Every day here at TVPredictions.com, I scan the HD programming aisles and serve up 10 programs so good -- so hot! -- that you can't miss them. Sports, movies, primetime comedies and drama -- they're all there and in beautiful high-def.

We call this list, "The Hottest Shows in HDTV!" And here they are for Monday, November 2, 2009: (All times Eastern -- and don't forget the link below to today's 'HD Hottie -- in fact, today there are 9 of them!

1. MLB Baseball World Series
Yanks at Phillies in game five. A.J. Burnett vs. Cliff Lee.
Fox, 7:30 p.m.



2. Heroes
(new)
America's favorite (albeit quirky) super heroes are back! Tonight,  Hiro travels in the past to try to save Charlie from Sylar (again). But what about Claire (Hayden Panettiere) and her kissing roommate (Madeline Zima)?

NBC, 8 p.m.

3. Dancing With the Stars (new)
America's favorite dancing soap opera continues with a B celebrity lineup overflowing with such has-beens and wanna-bes as Donny Osmond, Joanna Krupa, Kelly Osborne and Michael Irvin.
Kathy Ireland, Tom 'The Hammer' Delay, Natalie Coughlin, Debi Mazur, Chuck Liddell,
Melissa Joan Hart, Louie Vito (who?) and Ashley Hamilton (George's feminine-sounding son) have gotten the boot, but tonight the remaining 7 contestants will dance-off. Oh, the humanity!

4. NFL Football
The Falcons take on the Saints.
ESPN, 8:30 p.m.



5. Gossip Girl (new)
Program descript: "Olivia goes on the Jimmy Fallon Show while Blair (Leighton Meester) takes a new girlfriend to a party to make Serena (Blake Lively) jealous." Yes, that's Blair and Serena in the picture; sounds like the Gossip Girls have a little more to gossip about tonight.

6. Definitely, Maybe
Ryan Reynolds (Mr. Scarlett Johansson) stars in a frothy but funny farce about a Dad who reveals to his young daughter why he proposed to his soon-to-be ex-wife. Isla Fisher, Elizabeth Banks and Rachel Weisz play the three obligatory hot girlfriends, each of whom could be the soon-to-be ex-wife.

. The Jay Leno Show (new)
Jaws is back -- and tonight he's got Mariah Carey. Better bring out the wide chair, Jay.

8. CSI: Miami (new)
"Program descript:
"
The CSIs re-create a night of bachelor party debauchery to solve a murder and find a missing groom." Hmm, Gossip Girls and Heroes have a lesbian theme; CSI: Miami is going for the debauchery. Couldn't be sweeps month, could it?

. Tonight Show With Conan O'Brien
Tonight's guests include
Ewan McGregor who will wander by to hawk his new movie, Amelia.

10. Late Night With David Letterman
Tonight's guests include
Carrie Underwood who will wander by to hawk her new album and then tell the carnal-minded host that  Under-wood doesn't mean Under the Desk.
