The team says it will be the first in the NBA to offer every game in high-def, including road and home.
Using a 20-person crew, the Suns produce their games on local channels KUTP My45 and Fox Sports Net Arizona.
"This is something we've talked about for a while," Rick Welts, Suns president and chief operating officer, told the newspaper. "The last couple seasons we've done about 10 HD broadcasts, but the costs keep coming down, there's better equipment, there's better production facilities. It really was the right time."
Welts said the team's continuing popularity was a factor in the decision to go all high-def. Led by guard Steve Nash, the team has won three consecutive Pacific Division titles and ended the season with 71 consecutive sellouts.
The team tells the Arizona Republic that production costs will increase from 25 to 30 percent per game for the high-def broadcasts.
Games not broadcast locally in high-def will be carried in HD by national broadcasters ABC/ESPN and TNT.
Welts said the high-def expansion will help the Suns' reputation as a top-shelf organization.
"Quality wins over time," he said.
