-- RLTV, the channel that caters to the 50 Plus audience,
announced yesterday that it will launch a High-Definition
simulcast channel by December.
RLTV, which is now carried by Comcast and Verizon, says the HD
channel will be available in "all of the network's current
markets by December 2012."
"With RLTVHD, Generation 50+ will be able to watch their
favorite shows with greater clarity and depth, enhancing the
overall viewing experience," said Patrick Baldwin, RLTV senior
vice president. "RLTV strives to deliver the best shows in the
highest quality to the 100 million Americans over the age of
50."
The channel says that most of its shows are already produced in
high-def. RLTV's lineup consists of shows that strive to help
older Americans cope with such issues as romance, fitness and
health. _____________________________________________________________________________
