QVC Launches HD Channel
The shopping channel says it's talking to providers.

That's according to an article by Multichannel News.
The network says it's in negotiations with TV providers about carrying the new high-def feed, but no carriage agreements have been announced yet.
QVC is owned by Liberty Media, the parent company of DIRECTV, which would seem to make the satcaster a likely carrier of QVC HD.
However, DIRECTV, which now has 95 national HD channels, may be running out of satellite space for additional channels at this time. The satcaster is expected to have a new high-def satellite operational this fall.
"As HD programming becomes increasingly more in demand, we're thrilled to offer our customers an enhanced shopping experience through QVC HD," said Al Ulozas, the network's senior vice president of affiliate sales, according to Multichannel News.
