Panasonic's Plasma High-Definition TVs are getting
plenty of attention this holiday season. But one in
particular may attract a few more looks.
The Panasonic
50-inch TH-50PX600U is the top Plasma set in the 50-inch
and larger category, according to Consumer Reports.
The publication says the set delivers a "very good"
HD picture and the sound quality was one of the best in
the category.
"HD images were very good overall with only
some of the colors being off and a slight overall
reddish tint. Scenes such as a sunset showed mostly a
smooth shading with just some unnatural contours,"
Consumer Reports stated.

The flat-screen TV, which is available online for as
little as $2,500, can display a 1080p signal from a Blu-ray
HDTV player via a HDMI input. But Consumer Reports
says the 1080p image was scaled to fit the TV's lower
native resolution.
