Paramount Finally Unveils Blu-ray Plan
The studio had been an HD DVD supporter.

The studio, which once was neutral in the high-def disc format war, shocked the industry last year when it decided to endorse HD DVD exclusively.
However, the endorsement failed to rescue the failing format and Toshiba officially pulled the plug on HD DVD last month.
Paramount says it will release its first three Blu-ray titles -- Face/Off, Next and Bee Movie -- on May 20, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
The publication notes that Paramount had originally planned to release Bee Movie on HD DVD in March, but pulled the release when Toshiba made its exit announcement.
Paramount will release Cloverfield and the Oscar-nominated There Will Be Blood on Blu-ray on June 3. And on June 24, the studio will release The Spiderwick Chronicles, which will also be released on standard-def DVD that day.
