Washington, D.C. (February 26, 2010) -- Samsung has announced that it will add the video conferencing service Skype to its new model 7000 and 8000 LED HDTVs.

The company said the sets, which should be available sometime in the first half of 2010, will enable viewers to engage in video chats and video conferencing with other Skype users.

Samsung said calls between Skype users will be free, but you will need your set to be hooked up to the Internet. And you will need to buy a web camera which will be connected to the set.
