The Korea Times reports that Samsung will introduce a 50-inch 3D set next month that will be priced at around $4,000. (The set is expected to be available in the United States later this year.)
Using goggles and software that connects to your PC, the Plasma TV will enable you to experience video games and some entertainment content in 3D.

"Users could see the latest generation of Hollywood 3D movies by wearing a designated eyewear and play 3D games by just connecting 3D-only software to PCs," a Samsung spokesperson said today, according to The Korea Times.
Samsung has formed a partnership with game developer Electronics Arts to produce 3D games and it says it's in talks with Hollywood studios for 3D movies.
"We are engaged in final talks to introduce 3D contents that fit the televisions,’’ the Samsung spokesman said.
The 50-inch Plasma 3D set will feature an industry-leading 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio to display deep black colors.
