Samsung's 56-inch DLP
rear-projection HDTV is a great choice if you're looking
for 1080p without breaking the budget.
That's according to a review by CNET.com, the technology
web site.
CNET notes that the set, model
HL-S5687W, can be
purchased for under $2,000 online, relatively
inexpensive for a big-screen 1080p HDTV. In addition,
the site says the Samsung display can "produce deep
blacks and excellent shadow detail."
The site also likes that Samsung HDTV has two
1080p-compatible HDMI inputs.

On the negative side, CNET says the set suffers from
"visible rainbows in some scenes," a slight blurry
effect.
But overall, CNET gives the TV a score of 7.6 out of a
possible 10.
"With a slick design, well-rounded features, and solid
performance, the Samsung HL-S5687W is a top choice for
people who want a 1080p big-screen but don't want to
break the bank," the review said.
