December 12: Swanni's 10 Hottest Shows In HDTV!

By Swanni

Washington, D.C. (December 12, 2009) -- High-Definition TVs are now in more than 40 million U.S. homes and there are scores of high-def programming choices.

But which shows should you watch? And why?

Every day here at TVPredictions.com, I scan the HD programming aisles and serve up 10 programs so good -- so hot! -- that you can't miss them. Sports, movies, primetime comedies and drama -- they're all there and in beautiful high-def.

We call this list, "The Hottest Shows in HDTV!" And here they are for Saturday, December 12, 2009: (All times Eastern -- and don't forget the link below to today's 'HD Hottie -- in fact, today there are 3 of them.

1. College Basketball
Kentucky at Indiana.
CBS, Noon.

2. College Basketball
Ohio State at Butler.
ESPN, noon.

3. College Football
NCAA Division II Final.
ESPN 2, 1 p.m.

4. College Basketball
LaSalle at Kansas.
ESPN, 2 p.m.

5. College Football
Army vs. Navy.
CBS,
2:30 p.m.

Bonus Picks:
The Incredible Hulk
Edward Norton stars in a cerebral edition of the Hulk (except, of course, when he gets angry; you won't like him when he gets  angry.). Liv Tyler comes along for the ride as his obligatory hot lab assistant and love interest. William Hurt and a very short Tim Roth chew the scenery as Tyler's general/Dad and a wacko military officer respectively. A diverting two hours with some appropriately cheesy CGI effects.
See our 'HD Hottie' profile of Liv Tyler.

HBO, 3:45 p.m.

College Basketball
Marquette at Wisconsin.
ESPN 2, 5 p.m.

Get Smart
Steve Carell (The Office) delivers the funny in this remake of the popular 1960s TV spy spoof. Anne Hathaway plays his obligatory hot sidekick, Agent 99, and Dwayne "Don't Call Me the Rock, Damn It!" Johnson is surprisingly good in support as a fellow agent. LOL flick for the entire family.

See our 'HD Hottie' profile of Anne Hathaway.
Cinemax, 6:20 p.m.

6. College Football
Virginia Tech at Penn State.
ESPN2, 7 p.m.

7. Body of Lies
Leonard DiCaprio shines as a CIA operative who pursues the head of a terrorist organization while battling his DC handler, played superbly by Russell Crowe. Directed by Ridley Scott, the film delivers the auteur's trademark blend of action and intrigue.

HBO, 8 p.m.

8
. College Basketball
Purdue at Alabama.
ESPN 2, 9 p.m.

9. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
Director Michael Bay stuffed this sequel with even more CGI effects than the first Transformers. But Shia LeBeouf and Megan Fox (talk about a special effect) make for a winning pair as they try to save the Earth from the creepy metallic monsters. Fun for the entire family, albeit dumb fun.
See our 'HD Hottie' profile of Megan Fox.
Cable and satellite HD VOD, various times.

10. Saturday Night Live (new)
Taylor Lautner hosts (and hawks Twilight) while Bon Jovi will deliver a musical interlude or two.
NBC, 11:35 p.m.
