to this remasted edition of the 1967 film based on the
Shakespeare play and find out. In crystal-clear high-def, you'll
be transported back to a time when Liz and Dick (Richard Burton)
ruled the cinematic world.

6. Chinatown
Jack Nicholson is brilliant as the cynical private investigator Jake Gittes who gets caught up in a web of corruption in 1930s Los Angeles. Faye Dunaway plays his obligatory hot girlfriend/Achilles Heel and John Huston delivers a memorable performance as her father. Directed by Roman Polanski who also has a wicked turn as a knife-wielding thug.
HDNet Movies, 5:45 p.m.
7. College Basketball
Syracuse at Memphis.
ESPN, 6 p.m.
8. The Bucket List
Another flick from Jack with Nicholson teaming with the flawless Morgan Freeman as two cancer patients who decide to go out with style.
HBO, 8 p.m.
9. Crusoe (new)
Crusoe travels to the New World in hope of getting out of debt. Let's hope this is not a 2008 version of the Defoe novel. If so, old Crusoe better set a meeting ASAP with Hank Paulson. Tonight, Friday has a flashback to his childhood while Crusoe tests his survival skills.
J.J.Abrams, you might want to keep an eye on this show; or at least tell your copyright lawyers to tune in. The show is Lost, minus Evangeline Lily in form-fitting outfits.
NBC, 8 p.m.
10. Saturday Night Live
(repeat)
Josh Brolin hosts in this encore performance. Gov. Sarah Palin (remember her?) makes a cameo appearance.
NBC, 11:35 p.m.
