Washington, D.C. (March 23, 2008) -- Okay, who looks the hottest in high-def? Scarlett Johansson or Maria Sharapova?

In the finals of the LCD division of HDTV Hottie Hysteria -- our first annual elimination tournament to determine the hottest female star in high-def -- we pit Johansson (top seed in the LCD division) against Sharapova (seventh seed).

Scarlett defeated Roselyn Sanchez and Jennifer Garner  to get to the finals while Maria beat Lindsay Lohan and Catherine Zeta-Jones to advance.

Johansson (above), the femme fatale in movies such as Match Point and Lost In Translation, may be the favorite here.


But tennis star Sharapova (above) has a strong following among sports fans.
